Is Remote Online Notary legal in Florida?
Yes. Florida has fully authorized Remote Online Notarization since 2020. A document notarized via RON by a Florida-commissioned, RON-registered notary is legally equivalent to an in-person notarization for any purpose Florida law allows RON to cover.
What can't be notarized with RON?
Florida law requires wills to be signed with the notary and two witnesses physically present, so RON can't be used for a will. Some deeds and real property documents also require in-person execution depending on the county recording office. Ask before you book if you're not sure.
